General Manager for our 2024 Men’s Provincial Team ( NL Black Horse )
Newfoundland and Labrador Ball Hockey Association (NLBHA) is now accepting applications for General Manager for our 2024 Men’s Provincial Team ( NL Black Horse ).
If you love the sport of ball hockey, are looking for a huge challenge and want to be surrounded by players, coaches and staff hungry to represent Newfoundland and Labrador and the sport of ball hockey on the National stage, this challenge is for you.
Criteria of Team NL ( NL Black Horse ) General Manager Applicants:
Applicants must be a good standing member of NLBHA and have organized ball hockey teams and/or programs for a minimum of 5 years preferably with high level tournament and national experience. Knowledge of top-level ball hockey players from all areas of Newfoundland and Labrador will be an important aspect of this position and should be noted in your application. Outside of ball hockey, any work experience in organizing and/or managing will be a strong asset.
The GM chosen for the position must adhere to NLBHA Core Values and follow all “NLBHA High Performance Program” guidelines, procedures and schedules put forward to the GM’ by NLBHA and if not followed, NLBHA has the right to revoke the appointed position at any point during the planning prior to tournament travel.
The General Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:
· Assist with the scouting and selection of players
· Be available for conference calls with NLBHA
· Develop and manage with the help of NLBHA, budget, including per player costs
· Be responsible for contacting all chosen players, arranging payments for travel, accommodation, etc. as per the budget
· Select and help supervise all coaching staff, support staff and players
· Follow a set budget and keep spreadsheets up to date
· Supply pre and post tournament reports for presentation to the NLBHA Board

Registration is now open for the Winter 2024 Female 4 v 4 Ball Hockey League.
The league runs on Saturdays between 1:00 – 3:00 (2 games).
All games are played at M5 – Northpoint Sports on O’Leary Avenue.

Canadian Junior National Ball Hockey Championships will be held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan from July 22 – 28, 2024

17U Male (Born 2007/2008)
19U Male (Born 2005/2006)
17U Female (Born 2007/2008/2009)
20U Female (Born 2004/2005/2006)
Anyone interested in trying out for NLBHA NL Selects Provincial Teams must register between Dec 1, 2023, to Feb 29, 2024.

The registration fee is $100.00 which is non-refundable and includes a NLBHA Practice Jersey. ( make sure you select the proper size)

Team Selection: Drafted by pre-selected Team Captains with assistance from organizers.

Banquet Date: 4:00 PM on Saturday December 2, 2023.
Cost: $160.00 per player plus $20.00 [Refundable Jersey Fee]
Insurance Fee: $15.00 [19+] per player and $10.00 [18 Under] per player, players who were registered for a sanctioned NLBHA/CBHA event/league or program after April 1, 2023 will not have to pay for the insurance fee for the *Fall 2023 season. Please select the option that applies to you.
Note: If you select the incorrect option, the participant in question will be assessed a $10.00 admin fee + the insurance fee that applies for this infraction. If you are not 100% sure that you are already covered under the NLBHA Insurance policy, please contact us via email at info@hockeybuds.ca
