NLBHA Junior Nationals Coaching Staff 2024 – FEMALE Coaches ONLY.

Applications must be submitted via email no later than Thursday, Nov 30, 2023.

Please Note: Not all applicants are guaranteed a position.

PLEASE NOTE: Junior Nationals are scheduled for July 23-28, 2024 in Saskatchewan

Criteria of NLBHA Coaching Applicants:

〉 Applicants must be a registered member in good standings of the NLBHA.

〉 Experience coaching junior elite athletes at high-level competitions such as provincials, NL Summer Games, or other community levels.

〉 Completion of the “Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders” course and NCCP coaching levels would be an asset and may be required.

〉 Coaches must be able to travel and be prepared to be away before (selection and evaluation of team), during, and after the tournament dates..

〉 Coaches would be expected to promote, support, and adhere to the NLBHA Core Values & Policies.

〉 Experience in coaching/developing athletes at the elite level in other sports would be an asset.

〉 Applicants would have to provide a police check completed with “Vulnerable Sector Check” as you will be working with minor aged athletes.

Responsibilities of all NLBHA Coaches include, but are not limited to, the following:

★ Work with the appointed General Manager.

★ Assist the team staff to develop and prepare practice and game plans while promoting a "style of play".

★ Coaches must be available for the Evaluation and Selection of athletes, (Mid May - Early June) all training and preparation leading up to the Nationals, Nationals and events set by the VP Women and Girls.

★ Be available for NLBHA conference calls or meetings with executive members.

★ Be available for all pre tournament meetings by the host committee..

★ Lend supervision (with support of NLBHA staff) for junior aged athletes related to all aspects associated with attending the 2024 Junior National Championships in Saskatchewan.

★ Travel and share common accommodations with your team and staff..

★ Be available for the debriefing after Nationals no later than mid-September.

★ Adhere to NLBHA core values.
