Newfoundland and Labrador Ball Hockey Association is promoting Community-Based Programs and Teams
15U, 13U, 11U and 9U Announcement The Newfoundland and Labrador Ball Hockey Association is promoting Community-Based Programs and Teams during the 2022 ball hockey season. Our goal is to continue to grow local ball hockey within Newfoundland and Labrador.
In 2022, 15U, 13U, 11U and 9U Community-Based Programs and Teams
·         are registered members of the Newfoundland and Labrador Ball Hockey Association
·         play within a defined age group (15U, 13U, 11U and 9U) locally
·         participate in organized and sanctioned practices, scrimmages and competition games
Community Based Programs and Teams (other logistics for 2022)
·         registered community-based programs and teams will receive priority to register in the NLBHA regional and provincial events during the 2022 ball hockey season
·         registered community based programs and teams are permitted to participate in provincial age-group tournaments using registered players; registered players with a NLBHA sanctioned program or team, must participate in provincial (9U, 11U, 13U and 15U) tournaments with their registered program or team
·         NLBHA will provide flexibility for low populated communities to develop sanctioned programs and teams within their locality
·         if needed, the NLBHA will assist players in connecting with a community-based team if a minor ball hockey program does not exist in their community
·         teams not participating as part of community based programs, may submit an application to the NLBHA for review and approval at a minimum of 21 days prior to the start of the provincial tournament using a NLBHA roster registration form. Teams not participating as part of community based programs will receive priority after CBTs to register for provincial age group tournaments.
·         only NLBHA sanctioned programs and teams may participate in NLBHA provincial and regional events and exhibition games using NLBHA officials
Other 2022 NLBHA Notes
·         players who are not part of community based programs and teams may register with the NLBHA individually to participate provincial selection camps
