2026 Junior Nationals – NL Selects Camp Registration NOW OPEN

The Canadian Junior National Ball Hockey Championships will be held in Saint John, New Brunswick,
from July 21 to July 25, 2026. 


NLBHA NL Selects Provincial Teams will be having camps for the following divisions:
15U Boys (Born 2011 / 2012)
17U Boys (Born 2009 / 2010)
19U Boys (Born 2007 / 2008)
15U Girls (Born 2011 / 2012)
17U Girls (Born 2009 / 2010)
19U Girls (Born 2007 / 2008)

NOTE: Anyone interested in trying out for NLBHA NL Selects Provincial Teams must register between February 1, 2026 – April 26, 2026.

Registration is now open. Don’t delay, register today! 

Camp Dates: 

Boys: May 22 – 24 @ Goulds Arena
Girls: May 22 – 24 @ DF Barnes Arena

2026 Female Provincials Information

The 2026 NLBHA Provincial Female Ball Hockey Championship will be held July 2-5 at DF Barnes Arena. The provincial tournament will have the same format as the last five years, with balanced teams being chosen from a draft of all registered players. There will be team captains chosen to pick the teams. This process has been very successful in the past, and we look to build on it again in 2026 with 5+ teams. Any club team from outside the Metro area is also welcome to apply to participate. This 2026 tournament will encompass all senior women and junior girls (born 2012 or before) in one division. 

Registration deadline will be Monday, June 8, 2026 – Absolutely no late registrations!

To register, you must send:
(A) registration fee via EMT to femaleballhockey@gmail.com
(B) personal information to femaleballhockey@gmail.com

IMPORTANT: Please indicate in your EMT message the PLAYER’S NAME.

NOTE: If you played in our provincial tournament in the past five years, you do not need to send your personal information if your demographics have not changed. 

Registration Fee: $65 per player”

*If a player is not trying out for our junior provincial teams or playing in an NLBHA-sanctioned league since April 1, 2026, they’ll also have to pay $15 for insurance.

The CBHA will host Men’s A Nationals in Calgary, Alberta from August 10 – 15.

Minor Divisions – $650

Entry Fee payment to be made via EMT to: treasurer@nlbha.com (no password required).

Team name and division must be included in EMT message.

Team Roster Forms for all divisions due on or before June 14 for approval by NLBHA.

Please ensure all players are registered (NLBHA Player Registration Portal), and applicable insurance fees are paid.

Coaches and Team Staff must register through Online Registration (Participant Form –
Volunteers) with NLBHA prior to coaching or involvement with a team at any NLBHA event or tournament in 2026.

NLBHA OFFICIALS will facilitate and officiate each provincial tournament game.

There is a facility convenor and NLBHA convenor for each provincial tournament.

The 2026 Women’s B National Championship will take place July 14-18, 2026, in Montreal. 

The 2026 Women’s Premier ‘A’ National Championship will take place August 10-15, 2026, in Calgary.

Registration will not be complete until payment is received. 

Please indicate in your EMT message which team(s) you are trying out for. 

  • Women’s Premier “A” 
  • Women’s B

IMPORTANT: 

  1. Any player who played in Women’s A last year is not eligible to play Women’s B this year. 
  2. You can play both Women’s A and Women’s B this year if you never played Women’s A last year.

All tryout sessions will take place at Buckmaster’s Circle Recreation Center.

Tuesday, April 21, 6:30-8:30 pm

Tryout 3 – May 9, 12:00-2:00 pm

EXEMPTIONS

Any player unable to attend the tryout sessions may apply for an exemption. Please state the reason for the exemption request. (ie. out of province for school, location and travel, injury, etc.)  This too should be sent to femaleballhockey@gmail.com. IMPORTANT: All interested players must register on or before Sunday, April 19.

Applications Now Being Accepted for the Athletic Excellence Fund

Applications Now Being Accepted for the Athletic Excellence Fund

The Newfoundland and Labrador Ball Hockey Association is pleased to share that the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, and Recreation is now accepting applications for the 2026 Athletic Excellence Fund.

This fund provides financial support to athletes to help offset training and competition costs. Funding is available through the Premier’s Athletic Awards, Team Gushue Awards, Michelle Healey Memorial Award, Elite Athlete Assistance Program, and the Sport NL Scholarship Program.

Applicants must be members in good standing with the NLBHA.

Deadline: March 11, 2026
Applications must be submitted to the NLBHA by this date. Late applications will not be accepted.
